Our adult acting classes are designed for artists who want to stretch, connect, and tell great stories. Whether you're just getting started, returning to the craft, or deepening professional skills, our classes offer a supportive space to take creative risks, develop your technique, and grow alongside others who love the work as much as you do. Led by professional actors, directors, and teaching artists, our classes are grounded in technique and elevated by collaboration, joy, and truth.

A Workshop with CCS

Whether you've never walked into an audition room or you're looking to sharpen what you already know, this workshop is for you.
Artistic Director Liz Newcomer and Executive Director Michael Newcomer are spending three hours with a small group of actors — breaking down the audition process from the inside out, working your material with you, and sending you home feeling genuinely prepared.
Here's how the afternoon unfolds:-
We'll talk through what it actually feels like to walk into an open call — and how to walk in ready. That includes resume formatting, how to introduce yourself, and the kind of room presence that makes a difference before you say your first line. You'll get personal feedback on your resume.

This is the heart of the afternoon. Liz and Michael will work with you on your material — finding what's alive in it, clearing what's getting in the way, and helping you connect to it in a way that feels true.
If prepping one monologue, up to 90 sec. If prepping two monologues, up to 3 min. -
We close by running it like the real thing. You'll move through the process just like an open call audition, so when the day comes, you know exactly what to expect — and exactly what you're capable of.
Space is limited and intentionally small. Come with your monologue. Leave with your confidence.
